The story
Our founder, Will Allen, started Tuff Way Ops after seeing the same problem over and over again: business owners were spending too much time on work that should have already been automated. Before starting the company, Will graduated from Columbia University in New York, where he also played football. After college, he signed two professional contracts in the Canadian Football League before injuries ended his playing career.
From there, he moved into personal and business financial planning, helping clients protect, save, and grow what they had built. That work gave him a close look at how business owners operate, where time gets wasted, and where money gets left on the table.
The shift into AI started naturally. Will began building AI workflows for his own day-to-day work, then for his financial planning practice, and eventually for the business owners he was already helping. The results were hard to ignore. The right automations saved time, reduced follow-up gaps, improved operations, and helped businesses create more revenue without adding more manual work.
That became the foundation for Tuff Way Ops: helping business owners use AI to simplify operations, lower costs, and make the business easier to run.
Why this exists
Most AI consulting is priced and packaged for big companies. The owner of a small service business doesn't need a long strategy engagement or a hundred page deliverable. They need a working workflow that ships in two weeks and pays for itself the month after. Tuff Way Ops is built for that owner.
Our principles
Workflows get access only to what they need, nothing more. Messages that go to customers route through a human on your team before sending. Credentials stay in your accounts. Every step is logged, with a fallback to a real person whenever AI is not sure.
We only build workflows that move the business forward. That means more revenue, lower operating costs, or time back for the work that actually grows revenue. Not everything should be automated. In a world where AI is doing more and more, human judgment and voice stay the differentiator. If automation is not the right answer, we say so.
